The circular company rebranding.

Caviro Extra is a circular company driving innovation in the design of ingredients and products of high-added value, derived from valorising waste from the winemaking and agri-food industries.

Founded from the evolution of traditional distillation processes within the Caviro Group, today Extra provides cutting-edge research and development in biorefining and the extraction of 100% bio-based products. Drawing on high technological and process expertise, the company is committed to achieving excellence in environmental protection.

The enhancement of waste material occurs though four business units – Extra Alcohols, Extra Musts and Extracts, Extra Tartaric, Extra Eco-Energy – which encompass the various products marketed and distributed by Caviro Extra across different markets.

The drive for innovation – Caviro Extra’s trademark – has led it to continuously add new ‘products’ to its portfolio, and the activity of the individual business units has grown substantially, thus turning them into full-fledged divisions with specific missions and expertise.

The rebranding of Caviro Extra, which has shaped the new corporate identity, stemmed from the necessity to represent the production reality in a way that more accurately aligns with its evolution.

The search for a claim led to “To redesign matters”, which encapsulates the essence of the narrative and communication positioning. “To redesign matters” draws attention to the verb “to redesign” and to the urgent rethinking on how to design new products more sustainably. “Redesigning is important, redesigning matters” is the overarching meaning applicable to every company committed to the circular economy. Thanks to the dual meaning of “matters” – both a verb in the third person singular and a plural noun for ingredients – “to redesign matters” stands for Caviro Extra’s core activity of redesigning and transforming waste materials into raw/secondary materials.

The rebranding process added value to the identity of the business units. Four conceptual icons were designed, one for BU, capable of taking today’s and tomorrow’s innovations on board.

These guidelines were implemented in the brochure and corporate materials.
