The Unipol Arena, a Bologna sports temple, was the chosen venue to celebrate the fifty years of FAAC SpA and the eponymous Group, a global leader in automation, parking systems, and residential and commercial access control. The Forlì-based agency Menabò Group managed the entire event, both creatively and organizationally.
“Opening the future”: this was the theme of the event dedicated entirely to innovation.”
The challenge posed by FAAC and taken on by Menabò?
Guiding the 700 guests through a journey that took them both back and forward in time, through spectacular visual and auditory impressions.
The evening began at 6 PM with a visit to the exhibition ‘When ideas change the world,’ a traveling exhibition that was shown in its entirety to the public for the first time.
Enormous panels in a captivating atmosphere guided the guests of the FAAC Group through the history of several figures who, through their ingenuity or experience, stood out for their significant contributions to innovation and pioneering achievements: from Guglielmo Marconi to Federico Faggin, and from Coco Chanel to Yuri Gagarin. At the centre, less known to the general public but highly significant for the occasion, was Giuseppe Manini, the founder of the FAAC Group.
A setting with a museum-like feel, at least on the surface. Thanks to the setup designed by Menabò Group, the Unipol Arena transformed throughout the evening, which featured speeches by the FAAC Group’s top management, a gala dinner, a DJ set, and, last but not least, a spectacular performance by the transformist Arturo Brachetti. Brachetti was chosen by FAAC as a symbol of change and innovation, in line with the thematic thread that characterized the entire evening.
“We are a team: that’s why we decided to bring you all together here tonight, to give ourselves a moment to reflect, as a team that has existed and evolved continuously for fifty years,” commented Andrea Marcellan, CEO of the FAAC Group, on stage. “I want to remember Giuseppe Manini’s words: a company like FAAC must have a soul. I believe that together we have achieved this: looking to the future without forgetting Manini’s pioneering spirit. That is our secret,” he concluded.
