OP La Deliziosa, is one of the most dynamic emerging companies in the Sicilian citrus fruit and vegetable sector, with 300 hectares of land cultivated with prickly pears and 90,000 tons of products. It is recognised as a European market leader in the production, trade and export of prickly pears.
Goal: To establish the first real brand of Etna D.O.P.* prickly pear in Italy. The brand identity is intended to convey prestige and be recognizable in Italy and abroad in the reference markets. Also, to develop an ongoing, compelling campaign to promote this fruit in a way that strengthens its perceived value. *(Certified Designation of Protected Origin)

Created for Op la Deliziosa, the name “Sicilio” clearly derives from an adaptation of the name of the region where the fruit is harvested, allowing an immediate connection, even in foreign markets, with all the imagery related to the unique characteristics and traditional values of the territory, values that we also find in the communicative plan of the pay-off.
Sicilio thus becomes the name of the best prickly pear cultivated on the slopes of Mount Etna and is presented, on the occasion of the Macfruit 2016 fair, through a communication project that highlights the strong sensory content typical of this fruit. With its essential, geometric and chic style, Sicilio’s new visual identity captures the values of its homeland: a perfect alchemy of taste, roundness, passion and tradition.

The communication campaign, with its elegant and sophisticated tones aimed at achieving a high-end positioning, evokes, even in the specially arranged photoshoot, the colors, landscapes, and rarefied atmospheres of the Sicilian land. It is intended to showcase how extraordinary this traditional yet still undiscovered fruit is.
